What we process and why
VisitPlan processes the postcodes, addresses and places you enter, along with the coordinates and route calculated from them. Our hosting service also receives normal technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and request details.
We use this information only to find locations, calculate your route, run the website and keep it secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing and protecting VisitPlan.
VisitPlan does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, telephone number or payment details.
Storage and service providers
VisitPlan does not have a database of routes and does not deliberately save the locations or routes you enter. Route information is used temporarily while the website calculates and displays your route. Refreshing or closing the page normally clears it.
To provide the service, route information is processed by Mapbox and UK postcode searches are processed by Postcodes.io. OpenAI and Cloudflare provide hosting and security.
These providers may retain limited technical or security logs under their own policies and may process information outside the UK using appropriate legal safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Cookies
VisitPlan does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a short-lived, necessary cookie called __cf_bm to protect the website from automated or harmful traffic.
Sensitive information
VisitPlan respects your privacy, but it is not designed as a privacy-focused or secure record-keeping service. Please do not use VisitPlan for highly sensitive information.
Children’s privacy
VisitPlan is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or keep information from children under 13, and the website is not designed to attract them.
Your rights
UK data-protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including asking us to access, correct or delete it, or object to how it is used.
Because VisitPlan does not save routes, we don’t hold any route information that can be retrieved or deleted.

We may update this notice if VisitPlan or its service providers change. The latest version will always appear on the website.
